Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

While I CANNOT agree with reviewers saying this is better than Chipotle Mexican Grill, it is a good option for where I was staying. My pinto beans were not fully cooked and rather hard and I didn't care too much for the rice. The olives were the cheap kind that have the after taste. With that said, it was decent option.

The burritos are on point. Fresh ingredients and yes it's better than Chipotle. The prices are good for the amount of food.

My first time experiencing Blue Coast Burrito. I'm home for a quick trip and decided to check it out after seeing some great reviews on Yelp. Very similar to Chipotle in layout with progressive ordering. I got a small veggie burrito and it was delicious. The guacamole was an additional charge even on the veggie, which surprised me but was worth adding. Great atmosphere with colorful decor and spacious seating. Worth the visit.

Found in an small unassuming shopping strip, Blue Coast burrito has a really large dinning area with super clean bathrooms too. The decor is bright colors with loads of aqua blue that instantly help out me in a better mood. The food is much like Chipotle in that it is all fresh and nothing pre made. They offer 4 types of fresh unlimited salsa unlike chipotle. I tried all 4 and fell in love with the green one, but the hot salsa, pineapple salsa or the roasted pepper salsa all rocked. They don't the naked burrito on the order board but quickly knew what I wanted and I was off to the races selecting from 15+ add on topping at "NO" extra $$ unlike chipotle. The meat was seasoned just right to let the flavor come out without being over powered by the vast selections of salsa. I got the large bowl combo with chips/salsa and large drink for $10.24. That's a darn good deal for a great meal. Oh, and that have a tropical tea that is unlike any-other flavored tea you'll ever get elsewhere. This is a strong 4 star place and the more I return here the more I predict they will earn that last star for a perfect 5star yelp rating.

While eating at Blue Coast the other day, my friend mentioned that they are seriously overlooked. And I agree. They are my FAVORITE place to get a good burrito! I'm not a fan of Moe's, nor am I a fan of Chipotle. But Blue Coast...oh yeah. It's all about the spicy, SHREDDED chicken. It makes the whole, damn thing. I hate cut, cubed chicken. I hate unseasoned chicken. Blue Coast does chicken right. They also have plenty of fresh toppings, and some very tasty salsas! The pineapple salsa is awesome. My only negative is their pricing is a dollar or two too much. But I found some coupons online, so we were all good in that department, also.

I love their guacamole! MMMM. The burritos are good, they are HUGE- be warned. I get the spicy chicken one and it is awesome. Make sure you get some chips & guac too :)

Still on a quest for decent Mexican-like food in Little Rock, I decided to give this place a try. A great find. Create your own burrito/taco joint. Very colorful interior and friendly staff. I opted for a burritto with chicken, black beans, rice, cheese, and other fillings. Added a side of cheese dip and chips. There were several types of salsa available. All were tasty. I enjoyed this place a lot. Lots of locals there too. I will visit again next time I am in Little Rock.

My visit to this burrito/taco/everything place was interesting to say the least. One side of it would be a 4 star and one side of it would be a 1 star. To give them the benefit of the doubt, I put them at 3 stars, but it would really be 2.5 stars if we're being honest. We stopped by about 30 minutes before they closed on a Saturday night while staying closeby. Our order was simple. Two fish tacos and one guacamole taco and one rice and beans taco. Per the menu, all of the tacos came with the stated main item plus lettuce, tomatoes, cheese. Y'know, all of the normal stuff. The fish tacos came out fine. The problem was with the other tacos. I first noticed the worker making two guacamole tacos. I pointed out that we said one rice and beans and one guacamole. It might have been like I was speaking Greek. She asked her coworker for help with the translation, but even he couldn't explain it. Seriously, for just two tacos. We finally thought that we had it all done. We paid and went home. When we got home, we opened the tacos. A tortilla with guacamole in it and a tortilla with rice and 6 beans in it. That's all. It's a good thing that Arkansas doesn't have a lot of variety of burrito places, because this place would fold in 6 months in the Dallas market. pluses: fish tacos were good. minuses: horrifically bad service and sub-par everything else but the fish tacos.

The people were really friendly and very efficient. This is a good place if you're in a hurry and want good food fast. I had the fish tacos and they were pretty close to what I used to get in California. Very good flavor and not soggy. My friends had "small" burritos and had a hard time finishing them. I also like the open salsa bar. All of us enjoyed our food without complaint. Great place!

We must have gone on an off day based on the reviews. I ordered fish tacos and they were not so great but the other people around us seemed to enjoy their food. The wife didn't get much enjoyment from her meal either. Maybe we'll try it again and see if all these great reviews will be how I feel about the food

This place is like a subway + chipotle all in one. I had the fish burrito (2 fried fish fillets and chipotle slaw in a burrito) that was pretty tasty. It was a little too liquidy for my tastes, but the flavor was still good (with additional squeeze of lime). The fresh salsas were AWESOME. I tried all 3 (not the pineapple), and they were so good with chips. I would definitely come back here again when I'm back for work.

Burritos are made when you order. They have a lot of meat options and toppings to go with the burrito. Also a free salsa bar. I recommend trying out their fruit tea, it's really good.

I had mine to go but the fish tacos rock! If you like Baja Fish Tacos( like Rubios in Cali). This is the best option around. Try them with the corn tortillas! Amazing!! The salsa bar was pretty good too. Try them all if you are dining in. The burritos looked good, will try them next time!

Was here in August 2011 Great burrito place I loved it after Climbing Pinnacle Rock me and some freinds were hungry and decided to stop here I finished my order and saw this huge burrito telling my friends I would only eat half and save the rest for later..... well later never made it I looked down and devored the entire thing and the little gelato place next to it topped it off and then we went and walk the BDB. Glad I ate the whole thing need the energy... Don't miss spot after a nice climb..

Very good burritos. Very similar to Chipotle in style, but far better when it comes to taste. Lots of fresh ingredients to choose from gives you a lot of room to change things up if you're tired of your average burrito. This place is well worth coming back to.
